Kate Middleton joined Prince William today for the final leg of their Royal Train Tour across the UK; the tour took the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge across England, Scotland and Wales to greet and thank first responders and healthcare workers.
Today’s first stop was in Cardiff, England, as the royal couple toured the Cardiff caste to meet local university students and enjoy vacation attractions. For the festive outing, the Duchess of Cambridge brought a touch of seasonal flair in a red Alexander McQueen coat layered over an Emilia Wickstead tartan midi skirt; Middleton accentuated the look with a black turtleneck top and matching plaid scarf. She also included a boastful Grace Han top handle bag.
To complete her cold-ready outfit, the Duchess covered her legs with a set of black suede spikes up to the knees. The design was set on an elongated pointy toe as well as a wobbly stiletto heel for elevated lift. The style bears similarities to a set of Ralph Lauren boots that Middleton previously wore in March 2019.
Last night, after stopping in Scotland earlier today, the royal couple traveled to Batley, UK, to meet with local workers and caregivers. For this eventful afternoon, Middleton layered a selection of navy pieces, including a tailored coat – resembling models she once wore at Hobbs London – as well as tailored pants and soft gloves. Her darker pieces contrasted with a cream knit sweater and floral mask.
As for the shoes, the Duchess then continued the monochrome appeal of her outfit with her choice of block heels. The smooth suede pumps featured a pointed toe silhouette with a rounded vamp and sturdy heel shape, resembling one of Middleton’s must-have designs from Emmy London. The brand’s Josie pumps are 3 inches tall and cost $ 490 on the brand’s shoes. website.
In the sleek heel rotation of the royal style icon, she tends to include pumps from Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weitzman and Gianvito Rossi among other top brands. Her closet also has a few high priced items like Catherine Walker dresses of course featuring Stella McCartney, Oscar de la Renta and other big names.
Beyond her heels and designer dresses, the Duchess of Cambridge also buckles in a series of brands more suited to wallets; Castañer is just one of many affordable brands she frequents in addition to styles from New Balance, Zara, Marks & Spencer, Adidas and Superga.
