Denim is the venom you can’t stop being addicted to! The return of the denim skirt caused a stir, both on the catwalks and in celebrity wardrobes. This vintage trend has made a breakthrough every time bringing new trends.
Originally, it was a revamp of old denim jeans that sparked a new revolution in the fashion industry in the 1970s, which gave way to the rise of denim skirts. Denim skirts still became popular in the mid-90s, all thanks to Marnie Bjornson, the well-known icon of the fashion industry at the time. Although the trend received a lot of attention, it did not reach the mainstream market until the early 2000s.
The evolution of the denim skirt made the buzz. From a rebellious style statement to a cute and effortless look, this has been a wardrobe favorite for everyone. Over time, this vintage trend has made some cool statements, from the classic denim skirt and ripped denim skirts, to washed and uneven skirts, buttoned skirts, asymmetrical hems and lace trims. These denim skirts are the new comfort zone for everyone.
Fashionistas have released a few looks that will get you off to a good start.
The plain white t-shirt paired with a denim jacket, denim skirt and a pair of white sneakers or graphic shoes is an easy look to start with. A floral blouse paired with a white or dark denim skirt, with chunky-soled shoes should put your day in order. A V-cut denim skirt with a metallic top paired with a summer blazer, accessorized with a fanny pack or belt bag is a major trend.
For a more dramatic look, an off-the-shoulder flare sleeve blouse with a solid color denim pencil skirt, accessorized with chained jewels will do the trick.
